Set up secure storage
Before you add an email account, we make a safe place to keep your email passwords.
Only you can open it. You will get a recovery code. Keep it somewhere safe, like on paper in a drawer.
Save your recovery code
This code opens your email accounts if Face ID or fingerprint doesn't work. We show it only once. We can't show it again.
Unlock with Face ID or fingerprint?
Next time, you can open your email accounts with Face ID or your fingerprint instead of typing the recovery code.
You can also do this later.
Your email accounts are locked
To keep your passwords safe, unlock them first.
While you were away:
Use Face ID or fingerprint
Forgot your recovery code? Reset everything
Warning: This deletes all your saved email accounts and ways to unlock. You will need to set everything up again. This can't be undone.

Other providers (Yahoo, iCloud, AOL and more): use the form below with an app password.
Ways to unlock
These are the ways you can open your email accounts when they are locked.
You need at least one way to unlock. To remove this one, add another way first.
A new recovery code replaces your old one. The old code will stop working.

When this is on, you can ask your assistant "What did you do today?". It hears counts only, never what your emails say.
